The Macarthur Community is pleased the land is saved - for now.  These article show that many people understand the risks of a split school option with no heritage listing.  Isn't it funny that the one recommendation not followed is the one that would stop a sale forever. If the school is split from the farm, the DET won't have to consult on any future attempt to sell the land.  Who do you trust - the custodians who have looked after and fought for this land for over 100 years - or the DET who have tried three times in 30 years to sell it? No sale, no split!
